The 2024 Washington report on the impacts of the commercial sex industry on Black and African American communities finds that systemic racism, economic inequality, and housing instability increase vulnerability to commercial sexual exploitation and trafficking. It highlights that Black individuals are disproportionately impacted while often facing barriers to support and justice. The report calls for culturally responsive services, stronger collaboration among agencies and community organizations, and strategies that address the underlying structural inequities contributing to exploitation.
